JSUMO MGLINE 5 Way Line Sensor

The MGLINE 5 Way Line Sensor is a multi-channel infrared line detection module developed for robots that require accurate path tracking and navigation. The module uses five QRD1114 reflective infrared sensors positioned across the board to detect variations in surface reflectivity. When the sensor array is placed above a line, each QRD1114 sensor measures the reflected infrared light from the surface below. White surfaces reflect more infrared light, while black lines absorb more light, allowing the sensor system to distinguish between the two. The integrated signal-processing circuitry converts the analog readings from the sensors into digital outputs, making it easy to interface with microcontrollers such as Arduino, STM32, ESP32, PIC, and ARM-based development boards. With five sensing channels, the module can accurately determine whether the tracked line is positioned on the left, center, or right side of the robot. This capability improves navigation accuracy and enables smoother movement in line-following applications.
