GY-4725 I2C DAC Breakout Module – MCP4725

The GY-4725 I2C DAC Breakout Module is based on the powerful MCP4725 Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) chip, designed to generate accurate analog voltage outputs from digital microcontroller signals. Through a simple I2C communication interface , the module allows embedded systems such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and STM32 to produce smooth analog signals without requiring complex external circuitry. The MCP4725 provides 12-bit resolution , enabling fine analog voltage control for applications such as waveform generation, audio synthesis, analog calibration, motor control, and sensor simulation. The onboard EEPROM memory can store DAC settings even after power is removed, allowing the module to restore output values automatically on startup. The breakout board exposes all important pins including SDA, SCL, VCC, GND, and analog OUT , making integration fast and convenient. It also supports disabling onboard pull-up resistors when multiple I2C devices are connected on the same bus.
