Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact

The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact is a space-efficient PCIe expansion solution designed specifically for Raspberry Pi 5. It connects directly to the Raspberry Pi’s single-lane PCIe 2.0 interface, enabling the use of high-speed NVMe M.2 M-key devices in a compact 2230 form factor. Unlike larger adapters, this compact variant allows a 30mm M.2 card to be mounted neatly between the Raspberry Pi’s USB ports and the active cooler or case lid. This thoughtful mechanical layout improves compatibility with enclosures while maintaining excellent thermal and physical clearance. The HAT+ Compact supports peak data transfer rates of approximately 500 MB/s and can supply up to 3A of power to connected M.2 peripherals. Fully compliant with the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification, it is automatically detected by the latest Raspberry Pi firmware and software. Onboard power and activity LEDs provide clear operational feedback, and the design supports stacking with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler.
